7 years ago, Emma Macdonald founded The Tartan Blanket Company alongside her husband Fergus. He ran a kilt company, she was a fashion buyer – can I make it any more obvious? Together the pair operate out of Edinburgh, creating gorgeous, modern and sustainable blankets for adults, dogs and children.
The Tartan Blanket Company has pledged to be a positive impact company, and dedicates 2% of their profits to good causes – 1% to the planet, and 1% to people. This positive impact is seen within the HQ walls too – as Emma tells us about how she’s created a culture at work that encourages the team to exert independence and discover the best ways of working for them.
Listen as Emma shares with us how important decision making centres around their values, and how kindness is interwoven throughout the brand and its leadership.
